PLEASE do not purchase a puppy from a pet store or backyard breeder. Good puppies do not come from indiscriminate breeding. Research who you buy a puppy from and be patient. Ethical breeders test their breeding adults. Puppy mills breed misery. Inquire as to how many Champions the breeder has produced. I feel a quality breeder should exhibit their adults in AKC conformation. Otherwise, how is one supposed to measure the quality of their breeding stock.
